NLS has been providing ongoing architectural services to Royal Park, located in Balaclava on Mauritius’s north-west coast. The 8-hectare site arranged around a new landscaped communal park will ultimately contain individual residential units and apartments. NLS’s involvement includes urban planning as well as architectural and interior design services, ensuring that the design standards and quality of interior facilities are truly exceptional throughout the resort, while also respecting the local environment and culture.

NLS’s work included creating a coherent visual identity for future development, including the extensive use of water features, appropriate materials, overhanging roofs to create outdoor rooms and unifying features like stone walls, white render and local hardwoods.
