The NLSA team had the privilege of designing Karndean’s new showroom at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour,  creating a space that reimagines what a showroom can be.

We set out to create more than just a place to view their extensive range of flooring. The result is a destination that feels like a beautifully detailed apartment, while functioning as a versatile hub for creative exchange. From intimate client meetings to large-scale launches, the showroom adapts seamlessly to its purpose.

Key design features bring layers of craft and comfort: British handmade soft furnishings from loop + twist, plush bespoke rugs from The Rug Company, and a built-in marble bar that anchors the space with elegance. Every detail has been considered to enhance both hospitality and versatility.

Naturally, the flooring is central to the design. Karndean’s extensive range is showcased throughout – from the bold Rose and Black Onyx herringbone at the entrance, to the refined Calacatta D’oro in the product library, and the warmth of Basque Oak that flows across the showroom. Each selection highlights the brand’s creativity and quality from the ground up.

Situated on the third floor of Design Centre East, the new showroom is more than a place to discover products. It is a crafted environment where design, craftsmanship, and conversation come together and we are proud to have brought it to life.
