We’re excited to share our latest project for Manolo Blahnik – a bold and beautifully crafted new retail space at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, a luxury shopping centre in Abu Dhabi. This striking space takes its inspiration from two fascinating sources: natural rock formations and Islamic geometric patterns.

The design plays with the idea of a modern-day cave. Inside, the walls shaped like stalactites and stalagmites, giving the space a sculptural element. These organic shapes are balanced with precision, inspired by traditional Islamic motifs, creating a unique mix of raw nature and refined order. One of our favourite details is the custom rug by The Rug Company, designed in subtle, earthy tones that reflect layers of rock strata. The furniture, from the large stone tables to bold chairs upholstered in rich jewel tones, feels as though it’s been discovered rather than placed, adding to the cave-like atmosphere. Manolo Blahnik’s timeless footwear styles, crafted to the highest standards of quality, are displayed like treasures. Housed in custom circular glass cabinets that slide open like jewellery boxes, the design is a subtle nod to the way we admire and protect objects of true value. This is a space where cave meets craft, and craftsmanship meets couture.
